This policy explains what personal data MagpieReply collects, why, and what you can do about it. It covers this website and MagpieReply Cloud. If you self-host MagpieReply, you control that data and this policy does not apply to it.
Two kinds of data
- Account data: details about you and your team, such as names, emails and billing details. We decide how this is used.
- Customer data: the conversations, contacts and files your team puts into MagpieReply. You decide how this is used, and we handle it only on your instructions to run the service.
What we collect
- Details you give us when you sign up, contact us or ask for a demo
- Billing details, handled by our payment provider
- Basic usage data, such as pages visited and features used, to keep the service working and improve it
- Customer data your team adds or receives through connected channels
How the AI agent uses data
- To write a reply, the agent sends the conversation, the matching help articles and allowed app lookups to Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic.
- We don't use your conversations to train AI models.
- Personal details are masked in the logs and traces we keep about agent replies.
- The agent looks up data in connected apps only for the verified customer in the conversation.
Who we share data with
We share data only with service providers that help us run MagpieReply, such as hosting, database, email, payments and AI model providers. They may use it only to provide their service to us. We don't sell personal data.
How long we keep it
We keep account data while your account is open. Customer data stays until you delete it or close your account. After an account closes, we delete its data within 30 days, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.
Security
We keep each team's data separate, store app sign-in keys encrypted and limit who on our team can reach production systems. Read more on our security page.
Your choices
- Ask for a copy of your personal data
- Ask us to correct or delete it
- Object to or limit how we use it
Email privacy@magpiereply.com and we'll reply within 30 days. If your request is about customer data held by a team that uses MagpieReply, contact that team first.
Cookies
This website uses only the cookies it needs to work. The app uses cookies to keep you signed in.
Changes
If we make a material change, we'll update the date at the top and email account owners.
